Starting her Sun career in the Graphics team under Michael Foster’s guidance, Elise quickly impressed her colleagues. “She just grasped things straight away,” recalls Emma Jennings, Senior Creative Artworker. “She was conscientious and keen to learn, willing to adapt to whatever was required.”
With regular training from in-house Sun trainer, Chris Cooper and continued college education studing Graphic Design, Elise built a solid foundation in graphics. But her journey was just beginning.
Recognising her potential, Elise was introduced to a client-facing role as a Client Services trainee. Working on the Aldi UK produce category for over a year, she developed crucial client relationship skills.
Her progression continued with a promotion to Account Executive, where she expanded her client portfolio to include global brands like Bacardi and complex global brand projects such as Upfield’s iconic Flora paper tub roll-out.
Today, as an Account Manager working with Account Director Lisa Skinner on our Aldi account, Lisa reveals why Elise was recently promoted…
I work with nice people at Sun, who over the years have been willing to share their knowledge and experience with me. Helping me learn new skills and expand my knowledge. I love working with our clients, building relationships and becoming an extension of their teams.
Michael Foster, Graphics Team Manager, proudly reflects what makes Elise stand out: “Her resilience, determination, and professionalism have been key to her impressive progression. She approaches challenges with the right mindset and adapts quickly, always delivering with independence and growing confidence. What truly sets Elise apart is her approachability and can-do attitude.”
HR Advisor Maggie Irvin has witnessed Elise’s remarkable transformation: “From a quiet apprentice to a confident young professional, Elise has consistently impressed us with her initiative and maturity. She’s created ‘how to’ guides, trained other employees, and managed complex projects involving account managers, photographers, and suppliers.”
“I have seen Elise grow from pretty much a school leaver to a young adult with ambition,” Maggie adds, “and I can see her achieving great things.”
While conquering professional challenges, Elise is also taking on personal ones – she’s currently learning to drive. It’s just another step forward for someone who shows that with the right opportunity and mindset, at the right company, apprenticeships can launch remarkable careers.
