Privacy Policy

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of the personal information that we gather concerning the contact persons at the prospective, current and former customers, suppliers and partners of Sun Chemical Group Cooperatief U.A. and its group companies (hereafter “you”). In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we collect and how we use this data.

1. Who we are

We are Sun Branding, our trading name is Sun Branding Solutions Ltd. We are part of the Sun Chemical group. Together with Sun Chemical Group Cooperatief U.A., Leeuwenveldseweg 3-t, 1382 LV Weesp, The Netherlands, and Sun Chemical Corporation, 35 Waterview Boulevard, Parsippany, NJ 07054-1285, United States of America, we are responsible for the collection and use of your personal data described in this privacy policy. References to “Sun Chemical”, “we” and “our” throughout this notice, depending on the context, collectively refer to the aforementioned legal entities. Sun Chemical and its group companies – in this case being Sun Branding Solutions Ltd, hereby demonstrate our commitment to data protection and privacy by establishing a global data protection program to support compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws and standards for protecting Personal Data.

This Data Protection Policy, including its appendices and sub-policies (collectively the “Policy”), provides a general framework and sets out the general requirements for ensuring that we Process Personal Data in a compliant, fair, lawful, transparent and secure way, whether locally or globally. In addition, specific or local policies and procedures may be applicable to specific topics.

2. What personal data we collect

We will only use aggregated data and do not use name, email address or other directly identifying information.

When we process your personal data for our legitimate interests or the interests of a third party, we will take reasonable measures to prevent unwarranted harm to you. 4. How we collect your data

Most of the personal information we process is information that you knowingly provide to us. However, in some instances, we process personal information that we are able to infer about you based on other information you provide to us or on our interactions with you, or personal information about you that we receive from a third party.

5. Information sharing

Sun Branding Solutions will process some of your personal data locally. However, as part of a global organization, many of our business activities can also be carried out (and business efficiencies achieved) by processing or consolidating information about you in specific or centralized databases and systems located at specific facilities worldwide. As a result, your information may be shared with other entities within the Sun Chemical group. However, each Sun Chemical group companies and those other systems and databases will only collect, receive, use, share or otherwise process such personal data in accordance with applicable laws, this privacy notice, our Sun Chemical internal privacy policy and any applicable specific local policy, to support business purposes. Moreover, internally we maintain a strict access policy with regard to the processing of personal data. Only a limited group of authorized Sun Chemical staff with a need to know (such as IT-administrators, sales and marketing personnel and account managers) will have access to your personal data.

As a rule, we do not share your personal data with anyone outside Sun Chemical. However, we may share your personal data with trusted third parties such as website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.that perform business functions or provide services to us. All such third parties will be required to adequately safeguard your personal data, subject to agreements that correspond to the requirements of applicable laws. 6. Security measures and data retention

Sun Chemical will secure your personal data properly in accordance with our IT and security policies so that personal data are protected against unauthorized use, unauthorized access and wrongful modifications, loss or destruction. Your personal data will be stored no longer than is necessary for the purpose they were obtained, including compliance with legal and fiscal obligations and for solving any disputes.

7. International transfers of personal data

Your personal information may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area whose laws may not afford the same level of protection of your personal information. Where necessary, Sun Chemical will ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to comply with the requirements for the international transfer of personal data under applicable privacy laws. For transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area, Sun Chemical may use Commission approved Standard Contractual Clauses as safeguards.

Access and correction rights

You can request access to and have the opportunity to update and amend your personal data any time. You can exercise any other rights you may have under applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to erasing or restricting your processing and asking us to transfer some of your information to other organizations. You may also have rights to object to some processing of your personal data and, where we have asked for your consent, to withdraw this consent. These rights may be limited in some situations – for example, where we can demonstrate we have a legal requirement to process your data. 8. How we look after this policy

This privacy policy is effective as of April 2018 and replaces our previous privacy policy. We will keep this privacy policy under review and notify you of any changes wherever deemed applicable.
